Ship photos


The Yachting season is up and running with the arrivals of several vessels over the last couple of weeks. The above photo shows the small boat harbour before the yacht berth pontoons are installed.

Dominating Victoria Pier this week has been the Island Valiant

The Dutch registered chase boatMarja berthed on the outer breakwater to the small boat Harbour this week.

Conversion work on the Constructor is nearing completion after very nearly two years. The formar Shetland Islands Council ro-ro ferry is looking smart with her new paint scheme.

A tranquil few of the local whitefish trawler Ardent heading to the fishing from a sunny Lerwick.

Finally berthed in the Morrison Dock is the work boat Speedwell. Alongside her is the old Bressay ferry now emplyed by the Malakoff shipyard as a work barge.
