A summer's day in Lerwick.
August has seen the start of the summer herring fishery with many visits so far by the new pelagic trawler Voyager seen above.
Liners were aplenty in August with one such visitor being the Athena seen berthed at Holmsgarth.
Lerwick Harbour two tugs are busy at most times of the year on various jobs, here Kebister heads for her berth after helping the Ocean Countess away from the pier.
Finally as September nears the work on the end of the Holmsgarth ferry pier near completion.
The outer mooring dolphin has been increased in size and height allowing bigger ferries in the future to berth safely. In the next part of improvements in time will see the installation of a new freight ramp replacing the old one which can be seen extreme left in photo.
