In Lerwick today is the 113,000grt Crown Princess en route from Invergordon to Iceland.
For a few days at least she becomes the record holder for the biggest ship to visit the port.
She is anchored out in breiwick bay (the outer south anchorage), but at around lunchtime she ventured into the inner anchorage thus becoming the biggest ship to lie at anchor there also. This position also sped up the tendering process with tenders only having a quarter mile ride to the ship instead of a mile.
Also in Shetland waters today is the small expedition cruise ship Clipper Odyssey which is visiting the island of Mousa. Yesterday she completed visits to Papa Stour and Foula on Shetland's west side.
