Lerwick Harbour has just enjoyed it's best ever cruise season which came to an end on Saturday with the arrival of the Fram, the 52nd caller itself a new record.

Also new records were set with cruise ship gross tonnage at an all time high, showing once again that bigger cruise ships are visiting Shetland. The Costa Pacifica  retained her title as the largest liner to visit Lerwick, and on one of her two visits this summer exceeded Lerwick's all time record for cruise passengers in one visit at 3,105.

Advanced bookings for 2013 stand at 43, with bookings already having being made for 2014 & 2015 respectively.
