A Super Puma helicopter has ditched into the sea 2 miles west of Sumburgh Airport on the southern tip of Shetland.
The latest news is that 14 persons have been recovered from the sea with sadly 3 confirmed bodies recovered, 1 person remains missing.
The Lerwick lifeboat managed to tow the remains of the helicopter off the cliffs were it had broken up to a significant degree. The chopper is now held in position in the lee of Horse Island, just off Sumburgh Head with the coastguard tug Herakles in attendance.
